DUBAI – Dubai Healthcare City Authority has rolled out a set of targeted economic measures aimed at supporting its business partners within Dubai Healthcare City.

The initiative is part of Dubai’s wider push to strengthen key sectors, enhance resilience and ensure businesses can navigate evolving economic conditions with greater flexibility.

For companies operating within the healthcare free zone, the newly introduced measures offer practical relief across licensing and leasing commitments. Here is a clear breakdown of what is available and how businesses can benefit.

Fee relief

One of the most immediate benefits is the waiver of re-instatement fees and late renewal penalties for commercial licences renewed between 1 April and 30 June 2026. This provides a limited-time opportunity for businesses to regularise licences without additional financial burden.

In addition, DHCA is offering structured instalment plans for licence renewal fees. Businesses can opt to pay through staged payments, including post-dated cheques, with deadlines extended until 30 September 2026. This approach is designed to ease cash flow pressures while ensuring compliance.

Payment options

The measures extend beyond licensing to include flexible leasing arrangements within the free zone. Businesses facing financial constraints can request the postponement or restructuring of due cheques into manageable instalments.

Importantly, deferment charges and cheque return fees have been waived under this initiative. This removes extra costs typically associated with delayed payments, allowing companies to reorganise finances without penalties.

How to apply

According to DHCA, eligible business partners can apply for these measures based on defined criteria and timelines. Companies are advised to review their eligibility and submit requests within the specified periods to take full advantage of the relief package.

The authority has introduced these steps as part of a broader effort to sustain growth, support investment and maintain Dubai’s standing as a hub for specialised healthcare services. Businesses operating within the free zone are expected to leverage these measures to stabilise operations and explore expansion opportunities.
